Hey

Ive just bought myself a Suzuki Vitara 1996 JLX

Could anyone give me any guidance on anything i need to do to prepare it for some off road driving?

Also i live in Lincoln, does anyone know of anywhere in Lincolnshire I can go and have a play off road?

thanks

Depends on how much you want to spend???

So I am told Vits are good off road with a decent set of mud tyres (colways, greenway,Insa are all around the £200 for 4 mark),a body lift give you more clearance for larger tyres (though you may have to break out the hammer and grinder) then you can get into supension lifts to got greater suspension travel Bits4Vits http://www.k9rdj.co.uk/ do some kit and his site has a nicely modded vitara on it for ideas.

Then its a case of how much time money and mechanical talent you have.
Winches, bumpers, cages etc

Steve

I agree with Steve ^  :) it's a case of how much you want to spend.

There are loads of very experienced people on here, so you'll get some excellent advice - just ask  :D

Yeah - the same with me as well!

I have good mud tyres on the front and a more "road" style tyre on the back - as because this is the driving wheels I suppose.
I was gonna buy some of those 1.25 inch poly - oojiflipp- spacer things to go under my springs from "bits4vits" - is this a good place to start?

Thanks

My plan is:
1 - decent tyres 215/80 x15 will fit apparently
2 - suspension lift using "Bitsfor vits" parts, works out about £140.00
3 - Body lift if necessary (Rhino Central kit is about £60.00)

I will be using it for RTV trials and the occasional playday.
