Whats it worth?

MuddyMachine:
HI what do you think this is worth?

Its a 1960s tax exempt serries 2, ran out of MOT
Ive had this a good few years now. the previous owner had painted it.
It still has the 2 1/4 petrol engine with dynamo, speedo reads under 40000( cant rember exact).

It needs a new drivers side wing and has had a chassis bumper dumb iron welded on.

A couple of people have showed an intrest in it but I have no Idea what is worth.

Any one?

Rich_P:
£500 tops.

Under 40,000 miles could be under 140,000 miles for example, as the odometer doesn't go above 99,999 miles.   The only way to guarantee that it's low mileage is by looking at various bits of paperwork.  Fortunately I have mine, due to it being Ex-Police so it's genuinely 83,000 miles.

Devon-Rover:
What is the bulkhead and the chassis like?

Either way for a non taxed and mot'd motor you can't really expect more then 500 quid

MuddyMachine:
Havent seen it for a while its at the inlaws.

As i remember there is no plating on chassis I took the body off and gave it a good coat of hamerite a couple of years ago. the bulkhead was ok some surface rusr. but not sure now.

Not much needed to put back on road will be sorting it out in the next couple of months, New brake pads and the drivers wiper needs cleaning up. Thats all I can see.( oh and a flat batt).

If i sort these and get the MOT, what would it be then?

Also thinking of putting it on a coil chassis.

Then say bye bye to tax exemption.
