Sorry lads, was trying to answer the original question.

Can't comment about the place of manufacture of the springs (lost my anorak a while ago  ) - just the end result - which in the case of the two springs listed I've found to be different - maybe they are simply different ratings?

Used lots of different kit over the last decade or so running Landies and Rangies, but I can't comment on Lovells or OME - never used 'em.

The springs supplied by UK Explorer as part of the pro comp "kit" I found too soft - great for an out and out off roader but too wallowy on the road. Again, don't know who makes them exactly - just commenting on the end result.

Tyke:
It's all about the 'spring rate' . . . . paint is paint and they all do different rated spring for different loadings and conditions.

Get that bit right and it wont matter who's or what colour they are.

Have a good think about what you really want and what you are likley to end up doing to your truck . . . . if you kit it out with a full compliment of underbody protection, heavy duty bumpers, winch etc or goaround towing heavy loads you will need very different springs than for a basic but simply lifted truck.

Talk to people who understand and don't be taken in by claims made by some suppliers of 'cheap' lift kits . . . . or you might not get what you really want

Lyndsey731:
I have to agree with Tyke, I bought my springs from Scorpion Racing, I know they're a bit on the expensive side with their products but they do seem to know what they're talking about. They went through exactly what I had on the truck and what I wanted it to do. Also all four springs are different for each corner, not just split front and back as most other kits seem to be.

I agree with Tyke & Lyndsey731

I spoke to Devon 4x4 and purchased Old Man Emu springs but I had to tell them exactly what equipment was fitted to the disco, protection, bumpers, roof rack, winch etc before they would advise which springs were suitable.

I replaced a set of Bearmach and the difference is amazing, the disco sits level and both on & off road performance is so much better.

Well worth that little bit extra 8)
