Wheel nuts XJ.. steel and alloy. Help!

Will the wheel nuts  for a 4.0 ltr alloy wheel be ok for a 2.5 xj steel wheel?

My tyre fitter reckons there different but the dealership thinks that there are only one type for both ? ! ?
