ok this is probably a common problem,2nd gear is hard to select when cold fine when warm,is a major fault about to occur or do i need to change the oil,what is the best oil? r380 box in defender 300 tdi,thanks i know some of you clever chaps out there will help!!!!!!!1

my second gear synchro has worn in my road going 300 DEF 90. pisses me right off. just got to change up slowly. 2nd is always the first to go on the R380's.

syncros fine,just hard to get into when cold

i'd sling some new oil in it. cant hurt it? thinking about it mine is due a service

yeh,but whats the best oil for the job??
