Good effort!, they even bent the spare!
Range Rover Blues:
And shouldn't that sign read "ARMY bend the best"?
hobbit:
Nice one, very true, if they have it they can bend it, very hard to find a squaddie proof vehicle nowadays

V8MoneyPit:
Before moving into vehicle design, I was involved with design of optical equipment for the military. Gun sights, artillery directors, etc. Every prototype would be field tested by squadies for days before being returned for assessment. You can imagine some of the returned items!
One of the funny tests was actually for someone elses product. We were out on Salisbury plain testing a sight for a 1/2" Browning heavy machine gun. These weapons need the barrel changing on a frequent basis because they warp with heat build up. They had some poor squaddie testing these 'oven gloves'! He would unscrew the barrel and it was very quickly obvious which gloves didn't work  HOT, HOT, HOT ......

What on earth do you need a sight for on a Browning Heavy Machine Gun, just point it towards the enemy and pull the trigger.
The big lumps of lead will do the rest.
