wheel nut covers

can anyone tell me how to get the covers off the wheel nuts please? I have bought one of those plastic things to get them off but have broke one of the tabs & the man in the shop didn't know how to use it! "i only sell them mate" was his helpfull reply  :oops:

I used a pair of slip jaw pipe grips on a tight one I had. :wink:

Only the dimpled one comes off. The others stay *on*.

Er... if your talking about the nuts holding alloy wheels on only one of them is a cover, this covers the locking wheel nut. to find which one it is just give each one a tap with your wheel brace and you should knonk it off.
