Tdi 300 EGR update

(1/5) > >>

K2:
Well spent the weekend  cleaning the engine. We disconnected the EGR and put a blanking plate on it and removed the marmite. It appears to be running well but still on start up there is a lot of blue smoke for a few minutes untill the engine has warmed up. Is this normal guys :?: If so will it eventually clear and if so what sort of time scale :?:

Cheers

suggs:
i no this a very silly question...but

and im sure you do

you are letting the glow plugs warm up before starting the engine, my van kicks out a puff of smoke if i just start it straight up..

Guardian.:
dont warm up on a 300 do they, you just start it, not like a 200.

Cyberprog:
Mine does the same during the cold weather.

CNorman:
gaurdian, i am sure they (300tdi) do have glow pugs!
