Gearbox help, anyone know?

(1/2) > >>

Tractorboy16:
Hi,

I brought a gearbox a few months ago for my hybrid believing it would fit a 2.8td with a V8 adaptor plate, it had a 4 speed gearbox fitted to it,

However i thought a 5 speed would also fit however, when i went to put it together it wouldn't and i not sure the gearbox i brought is correct.

When i brought is i was told it was a 5 speed 1985 gearbox out of a V8 range rover, is the long stick type,

Can anyone conferm what this actually is, LT95?

cheers

James

mark.yellow.series.3:
its not an LT95, coz mine looks nothing like that, i dont reconise that one, iam sure somone will be along shortly to explain all.

Range Rover Blues:
Looks, from the body of it, like a long stick LT77 5 speed!

Angry Badger:
Hi James

LT95 box is easy to identify as the main box and transferbox are all in one casing and it's only a 4 speed.  Like Range Rover Blues says, it looks like an LT77 box you have there.
