Steering guard fitting
ne jones:
Ive just bought a secondhand paddocks steering guard and want some advice on where the rear of the guard fixes under the vehicle.
The front obviously fixes to the bumper mounting points but im unsure about the 2 fixing holes underneath. Can anyone tell me where these bolt to and if the bolts are already in situ on the car or whether I need to buy some.
Any pics would be welcome too.

ChrisW:
The drivers side goes through the same fixing hole as the big drop arm thingy  should already be a bolt in place but when I did mine I managed to shear it
The one on the passenger side goes through the same place but on the opposite chassis leg - this will be empty and you will need a bolt for it, something like M12x100-120mm should do it.
(If you hold the guard up all should become apparent).
Guardian.:
bolt the front on and lift the back up and it will go to were above has said, easy!

Have fun getting the one on the drivers side out.
Had to grind the head off mine, then drift the bolt out, while tightening the nut to pull the bolt out.
Otherwise it's an easy job.
Pete.
