point taken. I'm more used to driving in heavy snow rather than mud. Perhaps I'll need to take my pal up on some defender off road lessons too -- after I get my new mud tyres of course!  :D

With snow you should be ok then as mud is pretty similar, slidey, unpredictable!

I'm not sure on the tyre size you posted though, what rims have you got? Are they alloys or steels?

No, just narrows down what wheels they are for sizing.

Are they the boost style?? Do you have any pics cos then we can say if the 265's will fit, i ran them on my Boost alloys no problems :)

You could fit 255/85's wich would give better lock i think on standard wheels and also be that bit taller.
