Guardian.:
there really good, how do you do that?

AbyssDJ:
use a very long exposure, and make sure NOTHING moves :P

V8MoneyPit:
I did some moving traffic shots years ago when I first got my Nikon FM. A friend and I were seen standing on the central reservation of the A41 Watford bypass at the traffic lights, loitering with a camera   Unfortunately, they are on 35mm slides, so a bit difficult to reproduce here!

The best bits are the brake light lines with amber patches as the indicators flashed.

Some of the pictures ended up with a sort of ghosted image of a vehicle when it had stopped at the lights. What you do for this is open the shutter a few seconds before the lights are going to change to red and shut it a second or so after the vehicle has stopped. It looks really strange!

Of course, these days it can all be produced on a PC   But there is nothing quite as satisfying as getting slides or prints developed and seeing the results. I've now gone to a digital SLR so I can 'play' with photography again. I just see the results a lot quicker  :D
