300tdi S Info required

Hello everyone I have been looking at a newer Discovery today. It is in good nick and only 105,000 on the clock. Very clean. I have two questions one, the guy wants £2,900 for it does this sound fair? it has part service history and MOT Tax (96 N). The othe question is that it is a tdi S. Any one got info on this model as landrover was worse than useless. It has all the basic features of a tdi 300, only exta I can see is walnut dash and side steps. Any info appreciated good or bad :)

our 300tdi is not an s that had walnut dash consul etc.
has it different seat cloth, cruise or somrhing.
price top end for a n reg, ok as long as it is nice and clean, 100k is good, just getting started.

take a look through the for sales , and you'll see lots of newer disco's for less money

seems a bit pricey, would be lookin at more like £2500, I used to have a 300tdi 's' and the difference to the base model on mine anyway was the twin sunroofs, 7 seats and part velour seats, oh and side steps but I think these were probably an option.  The wood dash sounds like a previous owner add on

Hi guys, this one is a private sale. Does not have sunroof has cloth seats, side steps, 7 seater, walnut dash, cd player. Landrover said walnut dash was factory fit???? It does have airbags and ABS. This one is a private sale I did look at a few 97, 98 models but terrible paintwork, rust, higher milage. This one has great body work and well looked after. My partner liked the condition as well. I am not sure but in this area  the garaged M regs are selling at between £4000 and £6000 thou wich I think is insanity. Still undecided as to buy this one or not :?
