Time to get the saw out!

Thinking of chopping the back of the roof off later this year. So I've just quickly (badly!) cropped an image to give an idea of what it would look like.

I'm not too sure. What do you think?

candpdoyle:
I Like it.. but surely using a 90 hard top would be easier than cutting??

V8MoneyPit:
Oh, but you don't know me!! I always like a challenge

The loose plan would be to cut the front part of the main roof to get rid of a horrible leaky glass sunroof and cut the rear side panels up to the existing windows. Then move the rear panel forwards retaining the rear door so it opens into the rear deck.

There is an internal tool box and fold up seat. Both of which would be able to stay where they are.

Not sure if I'd put a tailgate on. But if I did I would probably hinge it from the side.... again, just be a little different    :D

A curved back section a-la double cab look 1000% better than a flat end!

I know what you mean, but more difficult to get the back door to work.

It also moves the back even further back and the open door is about the same width as the length available anyway..... if you know what I mean!
