The Return Of 'Top Gear'
Bush Tucker Man:
Did any one see the new start to BBC2's top programme last night??
In the 'Forthcoming Attractions' snippet they showed a downhill skater(???) jumping ahead of a Bowler Wildcat - that ought to be interesting.
Will Richard 'Hamster' ("I am a driving God!!")Hammond get the job again??
Then the Unholy Trinity were playing with 3 nice motors on Pendine Sands.
Chrysler 300 'Hemi'; a wicked looking motor, very GodFather-ish
Jaguar S-Type R; a beautiful Gentlemans sporting motorcar with a 4.0 Supercharged V8
And that wonderful adopted Australian Holden, now the Vauxhall Monaro, with its Corvette 5.7 V8 (advertising slogan; "I Just Want One")
The Aussuies get saloon, estate & 'Ute' versions as well.
Sadly my 2 nearest Main Dealers don't have them
And as for the technical test of bogging it down in 5seconds  Almost as good when 'Hamster' got 'dusted' by Clarkson when he got the Porch stuck on Pendine last series
turtle:
I forgot that the new series was starting last night  never mind, I'll try and watch next week.
SteveH:
Yeah, good episode. would have been nice to see a Stig test of the thee motors though :) Had a Commodore as a hire car in Oz a few years back, lots of fun driving down dirt tracks at silly speeds :D :D
RRC:
Twas a good show.
The bowler is definately something to look forward to.
Wasn't to convinced on the hair eating exercise. Plus did they really need Anthony Worrel Thompson to cook it. My 9 year old cousin can do an omelete.
stefan:
........and apparently in one of the shows, Clarkson takes a Discovery 3 up a mountain!!
...........must remember to set the video for Sunday just in case, as they don't show Top Gear in New York!!
