Mud-Club Forum Speed - Please vote in this poll

Hi All,

We've been tweaking a few of the scripts and network connections on the server which runs the forum, and it would be useful to know if they are having the desired effect on the operation.

I'd be grateful if you could ALL put a vote into this poll, based on the overall performance of the forums.

Please vote for the option which best describes the *overall* performance of the site.  There are bound to be other factors affecting the speed of the internet, (such as downloading that MP3 whilst browsing), but since these factors are always present, there's not a great deal we can do about them.


Thanks for the input, we'll keep trying to improve things :-)

Hi Tim,

The forum on the whole seems to be running fine.  The only problem that I have found (sometimes) is that on multiple page threads, it sometimes has problems getting to pages somewhere in the middle.  I have had occasion where things would just hang, but navigate somewhere else and come back after a while and all is well.  Happens at work and home.

Got to home now and clean bits of Abingdon off the car so I can put my new stickers on  . . . . . cheers

Not sure how to answer as I don't know when you tweaked it.

Last week there were certain threads which I couldn't access at all during the daytime but worked late evening. Over the weekend it has all worked fine and still seems to be working today.

Answer it as you see it.  There is no right or wrong answer ;-)

I deliberately haven't mentioned any times or dates as I don't want to prejudice the results.

This poll will almost certainly be repeated in a few weeks when more changes are made to the system.

I had actually decided the fault was with Blueyonder so I'll answer it tomorrow if all is still well and I know today wasn't a fluke with Blueyonder :)
