Bonnet pins?
mmgemini:
--- Quote from: "Eeyore" ---I've got bonnet pins on both 110's, so I'll try and grab some piccies tonight as well.
We used to have the standard series / military bonnet catches on the racer, i.e. the hook over, rubber thingys; but to be honest, they weren't all that good and could unhook themselves under more extreme circumstances. The pins feature a more positve locking mechanism which just inspires a bit more confidence and keeps the scrutineers more happy.

I'm not on about the rubber things. I'm on about the metal bonnet catches.
I have to agree with your comment about scrutineers
I remember taking the rally Avenger to a scrutiner for an event. I'd just had the engine out so the engine bay was nice clean white paint.
The scrutineer took one look ans said
"Thats nice and clean, I'll have to find something wrong with it" The thing was he wasn't joking. All he could find wrong was I had to many stickes on the car !!!!
Litch:
The metal hooks used on MOD S111's are ideal, I had a set of these on my vehicle after I removed the original set-up. Never had them come undone in service and never had them come undone on my own vehicle. Advantage over the pins is that there are no separate R-pins to loose.
Eeyore:
Um, my clips have integral retainers - you can't loose 'em unless you rip the bonnet off.
.....which I guess could be a possibility!
Cheers

Litch:
Ah-ha. The ones I have seen have separate R-pins (sometimes held on with a SS wire).
As I said, prefer the LR items myself.
Mudmonkey:
Both are sounding pretty good, anyone got any piccys of either then?
