wiring a winch on a defender
Leigh:
Haven't got a winch but thinking of getting one sometime in the spring.
Has anyone got any pics or diagrams of the wiring. Would like to see how it goes together under the bonet and through to under the seat. Is it an easy job?
Cheers

its dead simple, landrover even give you a big enough hole in the seat box to run the poer cables through, when i get home tommorow if i remember ill try n get some pics of my setup, have a single BIG battery running through an isolater to the Albrite solenoids mounted up on the wing then down to the winch (keeps the solenoids up out the crap & easy to work on) have the 2 power cables & the 3rd 1 for the motor windings & i run the earth from the winch motor straight back to the -Ve Terminal on the battery, not onto the chassis as this can give poor performance
