Xtremeteam:
Who uses these for stowing recovery gear ont bonnet of there vehicle whilst offroad?

been using a long bungee over the bonnet to hook the winch rope under but been looking at cargo nets to hold strops etc, what size do you use?

My 90 is 400 miles away so cant go n measure it up

Dennis the diesel:
Hi Mike
Got my net from Ha*****s - cheap & cheerful with metal hooks
Also bought some stainless 'P' clips, type used to hold brake pipes etc, got 3 down each side of bonnet, and one at front and back sort-of central.
I usually have a strop, with shackle, a pair of gloves and possibly the winch-rope (not wire) tucked under and, touch wood, it all seems to stay put.

A mate of mine came back from the 2005 Belgium Nationals with a crate of beer under his bonnet net - raised a few eyebrows going round the M25, but he never got pulled....

If I could work out how, and it wasn't raining out, I'd go take a piccy or two - but it is p*****g down, and dark...sorry!

bigfatsi:
Tesco do 'em for a fiver. I use one as a makeshift dog guard and one to strap stuff down in the back. Only problem is untangling them when you've just bundled em up.

Simon.
