suggs:

dave_2A_2.25Turbo:
As long as its even, the slower the better - uses less fuel!

suggs:
year thats true, just it needs a bit of a rev when pulling away.

Range Rover Blues:
Two things goverb tickover speed as recomended by a manufacturer, at the bottom is how slow it will idle smoothly, at the top is how fast it needs to go for the alternator to charge the battery.

extreme90:
norm idleing is around 700-750 ish give or take
so it'll move in gear at idle without konking
