Newbie/possibly dumbass question

fool hardy:
It a fairly simple question, whats a camel cut? Sorry for asking something that may have been answered before.

Thanks for any help.

Pete:
Usually a ligt trim to the front and rear wheel arches, to allow bigger tyres to be fitted without catching on the body work.

fool hardy:
Cheers mate, looking at getting a Discovery fitting a 2" lift and 31x10.5 tyres and seen mentions of camel cuts, all becomes clear now.

90sam:
Thats a smart snorkel did you make that? any idea where to get the mushroom tops from?
Sam

Pete:
Yes it's home made.
The tops can be bought from most places who do work on off road motors. I got mine from a local independant L/R garage.

Total cost for the snorkel, including the top, is about £35. All steel, and nothing sticking out from the wing to catch on trees etc. I have seen quite expensive ones crack or split after catching a tree.

Only takes a couple of hours from taking the wing off to replaceing it.

You can get the forward/rearward faceing tops if you prefer that look.

 Pete.
