Battery box area
(1/1)
Merlin:
Can I just dis-connect & remove the battery to clean under/around that area or will I upset some of the "Electrical Gismo's" by having the battery off?--Cogs :?:
MUSKIE:
just undo and remove, the only thing to reset will be the clock and radio code, mine is on and off all the time. no probs.
Range Rover Blues:
Totally agree, there is no learning mode on your EFi system, just make sure you know the radio code if fitted, and have the alarm key to hand. You can get a keep-alive kit that plugs into the cig lighter but i wouldn't worry to be honest.
Merlin:
Thanks, why do I need to have the "alarm key" to hand :?:
Range Rover Blues:
Sorry, that should read 'if fitted'. If you disconnect the car battery with some makes of alarm it will set the alarm off, given that you are likely to be under the bonnet at the time......
Then again some alarms 'learn' the remote key code(s) when first connected to the battery.
