do they often crack the block when you dunk them ? thats not good as i like 15 minites from kirton and there is plenty of water there, i used tho trash an old MK1 shogun around up there but it was a pain towing it there and back all the time.

i think its just luck on the engines,  i suspect a lot of people have never had an issue

joker777:
@ markyb

is that a 1.6 peterol engine in the one pictured in your avatar? if so how have you water proofed the electrics?

markyb:
yeah 1.6 petrol.

you can get cans of silicon spray. from pound shop or Halfords ignition sealer i think its called.   spray all the leads dizzy carb  , dumped the pancake type air filter and made a pipe that goes on top of the carb and use a injection model air filter box.

on some models of the dizzy there is a breather option, run a pipe from that up the snork.    bought a new bell housing cover and sealed that witha breather at the top where there is a big slot.

if i change the plugs etc i reapply the silcone as it builds up and gives it a nice seal to allow it to run under water,
