when you say it happens in 2nd or 3rd, is that to say it happens when you rev it...
Does it happen only under load? Does it happen when it is idling?

doesnt have any trouble idling. every now and then it hesitates very slightly when revved. seems to do it most when slowing down and when pulling low in the rev range
as i say... i dont even know what to listen for... but you can feel it when it does the above
mattys got some injector cleaner for us i think.. cant get it til tues tho. how do you go about putting it straight in the fuel filter rather than the tank? need to do anything special?

Have you tried changing the fuel filter?
I had similar symptons to these, changed the filter, and it all went away! The filter was quite manky tho...
You can put the additive straight in the filter, drain a little diesel off using the water trap on the bottom of your filter, then take the bleed screw out, which is on top of the filter and pour it in..

filter most likely does need changing to be honest, iv just not had the £ in my hand to pick one up!
