generation-x:
metz wot sort of suspension lift you lookin for?
to get lifts fitted proffesionally is gonna cost ya
if i remember la supertrux charge i think 400 for fitting the calmini suspesion kit and couple of hundred for body lift
most lifts come with good instructions and can be done with the minimum of tools

let us no

metz:
Hiya mate, i think i'm gunna go with the calmini 3" suspension kit as its supplied with quite a few things ( i have heard of the axle probs but i wouldnt be giving it that much hammer just yet) as for body lift i think i will just go for a 2" lift with it being less hassle i think theyre £52 on rhinocentral.

I just wasn't sure if i would need to chop the original body bolts a little to fit it as dave jones had to on his 5 door vit.

generation-x:
metz you mean MY lwb :D

2" body lift you will have to cut the 4 inner body mount bolts
as for the calmini kit imo id steer away from it
go pro-comp 1.5" spring lift kit with daves coil spacers and you get just a tad under the 3" susspension lift and as far as my 2 vitaras and others within my club we have had no problems with the front axles ask anyone that no's me and they will tell you i sont show any mercy to my suzuki's.
depending on how quick your looking to modify ur vitara dave is in the middle of making  body lifts and as with daves kits it will be priced right

metz:
Cheers Simon, i will bare that in mind. I was looking to get a bodylift in the next month or two so Dave get your skates on  :P
Anychance of a link to the pro comp kit?
May be able to persuade the girlfriend to part with some of her cash to get me the suspension kit...miracles may happen haha.

So i would need the Pro Comp kit + Daves spacers + Daves shock spacers too?

generation-x:
m8y
there is a couple of ways of going about it
1
buy complete procomp 1.5" kit http://www.explorerprocomp.co.uk/acatalog/SuspensionSystems_Suzuki.html
then buy daves coil spacers only
and thats ur lift done
2
just buy procomp 1.5" springs (think there 35 ish per corner)
then buy daves coil spacers + front dampner spacers + rear shock extensions
3
buy procomp springs + daves coil spacers + his front dampner spacers and mk11 astra rear shox for the rears of the vitara

its all about budget really your have to check prices of procomps full kit to daves bits if you email him he may and does sometimes do a job lot of bits for good money
