xmas traffic has arrived

Just heard on the radio ( 22:50) that there is someone stuck on a motorway somewhere in a traffic jam and not moving.

I am off to the NEC on Sat to see Jasper Carrots rock with laughter so hope I get there and home ok. Anyone else going?

Wouldn't have thought it would be an issue on Saturday night.

I went anti clockwise around the top half of the M25 tonight and it was clear except for the fog.
The clockwise direction though was another story.
Tail back from junction 22 to the Dartford Tunnel
What a way to start the Christmas break, stuck behind the wheel in the fog on the worst road around London

I think one of the news programmes branded today as the worst day for travelling as everyone is on the road to get away today.

I think it was last year we were coming back from my Mum's on Christmas Eve about 9.30pm - only going two junctions from Shirley up to the NEC on the 42 and it took us about an hour compared to the usual 10 minutes.

I think the most traffic you will be in on Saturday night James will be the queues to get out of the car park

Just give yourself plenty of time for travelling - I think the fog is here for a day or two yet.

schools closed today i am told which makes sense

best one was a zafira in the fast lane doing 65 but wouldnt budge but i went back into the middle lane to go onto a sliproad and saw he was driving leaning to one side with his head jamming a mobile between his head and his shoulders.....

with a car full of wife and kids

We are heading up to Glasgow for Christmas. But looking at the weather forecast, I think I'll go up on Sunday rather than Saturday afternoon. Hopefully miss more of the traffic too.
