I meant the rear brake cylinders that push the shoes out
markyb:
rear ones are ok. clean them up and pop them back in your have to bleed it through if it des.

if you dont have any leaks . you may need to bleed some more you might have some air still in there. i found that before brakes are fine then later on you get a rubish brake pedal. scary moments
baz2236:
This afternoon I got chance to strip one side down the drum was full of water and mud the brake shoes are pretty much worn away and on 1 side the wheel cylinder is out quite away and the other side is sitting about right i have tried to budge it but it seems solid even losening the bleed nipple did'nt help anyone got any suggetions or is it time to get a new cylinder what sort of price do these go for?
generation-x:
baz if the pusher?? aint square on it wont go back give it a wiggle and make sure the spring is ok
one option is while the brakes are playing up go for rear disc conversion?? if you need new rear shoes and cylinders its gonna cost ya between 50-100 quid roughly
you can get a rear disc conversion for about the same money might be worth lookin about
