Tyre size increase

I had fitted 225/75r16 Goodyear MTR on my Camel (they are lifted).

1. There was about 4mm between the tyre treads and the supsension turrets.
2. It rubbed the plastic liners (cured by a stanley knife).
3. Struggled to hold 65-70 going from Preston to Glasgow up hill on motorway.

But with the 205r16 she would cruise along at 90. I would say avoid the 225 as its just a bit too far. But certainly I will be going for the 205r16 next time round - once I get hold of some 16" rims ;-)
