HOW MUCH for a battery

--- Quote from: "JPJ" ---I had this problem with mine. I checked the battery and it was OK. The problem actually was the glow plugs - only one of the 4 was working. May pay you to do a little checking first.

Changed all of them last year to vast expense. cost me £40 for 4 plugs from my local garage. Got money back after I printed out a quote from paddocks for a set of 4 for about £10.
Will look at the batteries you guys have posted about. What is a deep cycle battery? Why would I need 1 or not?

Na, the deep cycle is for my winch, lights etc that I run off the spare battery. A "cycle" is from full charge to near total discharge and Deep cycle means it can stand being run almost flat quite often without effecting the life of the battery. If you do that with normal one then they don't last very long.
I only mentioned them cos that's what I got off Tayna and at a resonable price.
