After 14months I finally received my cheque from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board in the post yesterday :D

Some of you may remember that I had my nose broken  in October 2005 by a patient (ie; a junkie-scrote)

At the time I wasn't bothered about trying to claim, as I saw it as perpetuating the 'Ambulance Chasing' culture.

But as was put to me on here (by 'Landyman Ash'?) & by a couple of the Sisters
"You don't go to work to be assaulted, especially by the very people you're trying to help!!"

So, it was banked on the way home.

It was more than I expected (as I'd had to be persuaded to apply), but doubtless you'd get far more if you tripped over a paving stone - in which case, you ought to look where you're walking :roll: (as most sensible people would admit is the case )

So, the question is, what do I buy??

a packet of chocolate digestive biscuits and some posh tea to dunk em in and some of Rangie womans home made Mince pies. Does that fill the budget or do you have some pennies left over for some cream to go with the mince pies?
