mot time!
Leigh:
Its that time of the year again. Well it was friday last week actually but I have taken the 110 of the road for a couple of weeks to do all the things I've been putting off. Yesterday was spent putting the truck cab roof on mainly in the dark and rain :?
But while its off the road I want to check round it to make sure everything is ok for the mot. Does anyone have a list of what to check before booking it in?
Cheers

when mot time for me i just went to my local mot station and asked for a blank mot sheet you know what they give you to let you know what it failed on, i just checked everything down the list and it passed first time. the mot stations dont actually like giving these out blank but if you ask nicely they should give you one i hope this helps
Leigh:
Going to pop round and book it in so I'll ask them for a sheet. You never know :)

you'l not get an mot checklist, these days.
all the stations are computerised now and all we get is a basic checklist. and you realy need to know all the in's and outs about how each component is tested
best advice is to spend a few hours reading thru this site http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual/contents.htm
and once you know and understand that your only about a quarter of the way to becoming a tester lol
going out now. but any questions? just leave them in this tread and i'l check when i get back in. i dont test alot of 4x4's so i'l need to think, or even refer to the book but i'l answer as best as i can

Cheers George,
The truck is booked in for thursday. So just wondering on the general wear and tear of parts that are checked so I can look over them before hand
