did think about a TDI rad but i already have a TD5 cooler so would like to us it if its poss. Looks like i would require a TD5 rad so the pipes / cooler fit?

I think that you could use a 200/300 rad in the middle and have enough room at either side to fit the pipes through although you would have to make some new raad mounts and move you air filter pipework.
if you you can make it i can break it.

did it couple of years ago now, i used a rover vitesse sport intercooler, as it was about all that was salvagable after i wrecked it.
had to chop pipes about, but it helped her along afterwards with a bit of fueling.
i was told it would knacker the head, but i ran that landy for about a year afterwards and never had any trouble.

my mate who told me about the head did it, would imagine the same as the tdi though, just turn the fuel screw in on the pump.
if you aint never done it before, get someone who has as i just blew a 300tdi up, mind you for 2 days it went like a rocket!

the TD pump is a different pump to a Tdi one so its not as easy to adjust

understand guys but i want to understand whats involved before i take it in so

1. i dont get ripped off

2. if she starts to use too much juice i can back it off a bit

It's never going to be a hotrod but it does feel a little under powered so i would like to check the timing and pump fueling by givining a little bit more to see if it helps.

My end plan is to TDI her but got to keep as is till the right motor comes up :)

what i mean is AFAIk you cant tweak the fuelling on a TD pump the same way you do a Tdi,also fitting a TD5 rad & intercooler os a lot o work for no reason, you want to fit a tdi In the long run so start the job properly & use a TDI rad & intercooler, saves LOTs of dicking about & making things fit,

i agree but the TDI cooler is not that good so i just want to know if any one was running a TD5 rad and cooler with a TDI / TD to see how it looks and runs. unless i get a good deal on TDI motor and rad's then ill go down the std route :)

just got to find a good fender TDI now :) easier said than done :(

So if anyone has one drop me a pm.........may even swop the bobtail for it....but only if you ask realy nicely :)

Here's an idea mate!

1. Sell MG

2. Sell bobtail

3. Sell 110

4. Buy a 90 in good enough condition that you can develop over time but that you can still actually use as you are a hard working chap with not a lot of time.

5.You will then not have to sit on my left hand side !!!! not that you want to after this post LOL.

6. you can give me that TD5 intercooler back (Santa loves Ebay)

7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE you are a good friend cheers!!!!

PS Charlie Perkins thinks you are trying to steal his trade!!!

BUY A 90 THAT YOU CAN USE IN THE MUD AND HAVE SOME FUN YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO
