Heater Box 1996 300Tdi ....No Blower Sorted now Ta

(1/1)

Cassillis:
After drowning the old girl she is now back up and running
The only minor problem is I don't seem to have any blower.
Firstly, could someone confirm a theory for me :?:
I think the blower motor or fan may be seized as the fuse keeps blowing, however if I disconnect the main plug to the heater box the fuse doesn't blow. :?
Would this point to a seized motor or fan :?:

Secondly, how do I get to the gubbins inside to free it off or replace the parts needed and how easy is the job :?:

TIA

Guy90:
This happened to me. The fan siezed when the mud that had been sucked in dried.

I poured a large amount of water down it to get rid of the mud and then ran the blower full blast. it blew two or three fuses but then was fine.

also check that the little tit on the plastic wing air intake underneath, itsnt blocked up.

I sometimes have to put a washer hose into the air intake and siphon out the water!!

Cassillis:
Stripped out the heater box, cleaned it all out, freed of the fan and Yipee  :!:  :!: Got the blower back
