Hummer vs School Bus

i cant stand hummers. a mate of mine pul;led up in a stretched hummer (birthday treat or summin) and after noticing it had massive mud tyres on it, obviously never in its life seen the mud, but i asked the guy who was driving it for some specs:
8 litre V8
7.8 MPG

its really a chevy tahoe, or something like that, with a bodykit.

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the build quality of the HumVee though. Surely the crash tests must be the same in the States, as we have over here.
