The steering box gets worn the most in the straight ahead position so if u adjust the box in the straight ahead position you are taking out more slack than required,

If you do it on lock ur taking that actual play out the box rather than just horsing the box up

thanks that makes a lot of sense i wll try it now,how can i test drop arm for movement .back in 5mins

with engine running get some one to waddle the wheel and u watch to see if the arm or ball join move up or down  :roll:
