Defender to Freelander

(1/3) > >>

smo:
As you may know i'm selling my 90 - as i dont want to be without a play thing until i build my 90 truck i'm considering getting a freelander.

Will i be totally disappointed by its performance off-road compared to the 90 or can it be fettled sufficiently to manage "hard" green lanes (strata and the likes) and also serious pay and play fun??

jimthelandyman:
I highly doubt it, i drive freelanders every day at work and they feel just like an ordinary saloon car to me.

smo:
Well i've had them as courtesy cars and used them on road before, and whilst not greast, it would suffice. However its more of the weekend fun that worries me?

jimthelandyman:
Aye, they are good on the road, i get a courtesy car freelander when i go to college in liverpool for my apprenticeship, i got 400 miles out of a full tank and the light did not come on when i took it back to work.
