correct plugs for a disco 1 with a 3.5 V8 EFI (lpg)

Skibum346:
Seem to remember a thread recently where Range Rover Blues explained the R prefix on plug numbers... something about a resistor?

Might pay to check out the RRC forum.

gtomo2:
Yea the bpr 6 es have a inline resistor in them to cut out the electrical noise but they dont work very well with lgp as the resistor cut the spark down. I now as mind had a set of these on when i got it and the lpg just keep missing but it run great on petrol. changed plugs and it runs great now on both

Range Rover Blues:
Just to confuse you all I now run BPR6EIS, because I can't get them unresisted so I look for unresisted leads instead.  Last set cost me £50 if anyone's interested.

Skibum346:
Just bitten the bullet and bought a set of Magnacore leasds for my V8 (£92   ). The plugs they recomended are the non-resistor ones.

Range Rover Blues... if you need a supplier I can put you in touch with mine..

Range Rover Blues:
What for leads or plugs?  I have a set of Magnecore on Blue and good as they are for £92 I'd want them to fit   the last set didn't.

You might have missed it but BPR6EIS denotes Iridium plugs, they are not available unresisted.  The resister is radio supression so as long as the leadas are not 'supressed' too then it's not too big a problem, but non-resistive plugs are the ones to buy if you have the choice.
