Paint match

(1/2) > >>

keithdixon:
i am looking for some paint for my rangie classic,

she is an 84 and appears to be the origional colour.

BUT

the plate under the bonnet shows chassis number and nothing under colour

I have only seen one metallic blue colour range rover out there, was there only one dark colour blue made?

if so any advise upon where to get hold of some cans?

Range Rover Blues:
Find a body shop suppliers in your area (yellow pages or ask your local garage) then take the car there and have it matched.
Your local Halfords can match paint from the code on the car, again take the car with you, but over time the paint will fade.
You can have the paint put into a rattle-can if you wish but I have got really sick of the things so I bought a cheap compressor and half-decent spray gun.  If your car is metallic you reaally want to do the job properly, even an electric spray gun is better than aerosol and they start at around £16. \:D/

keithdixon:
I've got the compressor and spray kit but it's a few key'd marks down one side which i want to get rid of

not wanting a 1st class job just somethis to stop the "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what woman did that syndrome"

There is no colour code on the car and it has no MOT as yet so i don;t fancy going off to find paint in it

Wanderer:
Has the Rangie got a fuel flap?
Unbolt it and take it in to the paint factors.

keithdixon:

could take the bonnet, but would not fit in the jag
