seabo:
Great minds and all that...

Actually have just bought some pins - does this mean you have disonnencted your pull cable? And presumably left the manual catch in place?

Jake:
I fited bonnet pins recently too
I gotfed up with not being able to open the bonnet on my own.
I removed the 2 parts from the underside of the bonnet to stop them from working.
The catch (with the spring around it) and the release lever.
Works a treat now.

seabo:
Rumour has it that you need the safety catch on for the MOT - any one know for sure?

Bulli:
mines passed it, leave the safety catch in place. All it means is that you undo the pins the bonnet pops up a little (as if you had pulled the lever) and you do the safety catch as usual. Yep removed the handle.

snezza69:
Unless things have changed, I don't think so if you have the rally style bonnet pins as they are very secure, however I would imagine it is a must for the cable release type.

Just dont quote me.
