Help lost stereo code

Any ideas that dont involve buying a new stereo?

Yup!

Simply call your nearest main dealer with your chassis number and reg - and ask them ;-)

They might ask for proof of ownership.

Our local car stereo shop decode for about £20

When I had my discovery the Code was printed on the top of the unit, just slide it out and it should be there, if not contact the main dealer as mentioned.
