Tried finding yourself an empty carpark and reversing whilst going lock-to-lock?

reversing usually does it, I did have a rash of the lever going loose, then I had to crwal under and push the end of the linkage by hand, not much fun with mud and pooh dripping of the underside!

Have reversed and reversed and reversed.
Have jacked up the wheels one at a time to have the first, front off side spin around four about two revolutions.  None of the other wheels span when jacking them up.
Have been underneath and cant see any linkages just a round pipe.
Anybody have a picture/drawing of these linkages please :?:
I will give the revesing another go :(
