Headlights won't work!

<< < (2/2)

Might just be a faulty light switch ;-)

Can you make them work by wiggling it around ?

d freeman aka ho0ky:
try headlight flash if that ok might be relay in fuse box

Range Rover Blues:

You might be able to just disconnect it.
I couldn't on my 1996 Defender 110 SW.

I did remove the relay but I had to put a link wire across two of the contacts to get the lights to work at all.

Which suggests that the headlights tun through the dim-dip relay and if it's sh***ed..........

if it works ont he quick flash its more than likely to be the switch itself, rather than a relay or fuse BTDT

u dont say if u used new switch or 2nd hand  ldv vans have same problem nearly always turns out 2 b switch but dip main beam flash part rather than on off part of switch  are they 2 separate switches on defender i have same 1998 110 havent had it in bits yet link wire on dim dip relay does work if switch broke cant remember whitch 2wires
