choice of 35inch tyres

haveing experianced some mud now in Trug a few times im feelin the bf's arnt all that great, (i may be wrong but just my feelin)

so can i have some other tyre options, would like to keep with 35's but will drop to 34's if need be.

wasnted some grizzlys but dont think they do a 35inch tyre..

Otherwise i'd keep the BFG's - they are a good tyre, its all down to the user in a lot of cases. Experience is invaluable at getting the best from ya motor!

Sorry Ric, Smo's right - a lot of it will be down to the driver and from what I can gather you don't have much off road experience
Certainly not enough to say BFG's are carp - they are a damn good tyre in the right hands and probably the best compromise out there
If it is an out and out off road tyre you want then there are plenty more aggresive options but they will all make Trug very skittish on the road - you already know how vague 35's can feel
Save your cash and persevere with the BFG's or use the money saved on some proper off road training  :wink:
More aggresive tyres will only get you stuck deeper - there is no substitute for experience which only comes from getting stuck loads of times till you can "feel" your way round off road - I would go the other way and get some cheap all terrains to practice on - once you master them muds will feel like tracks  :lol:

Just a thought  :-k   Have you checked/altered tyre pressures?? this can has a impressive amount of difference in traction, maybe not as low as 15 lbs but different pressures for differnt needs, in my own opinion it does make a huge difference on AND off road,  Just a thought

The BFG's seem a bit rubbish on the wet stuff (same as my Goodyear's) but they are a really good tyre.
You'll be supprised by the terrain and lack of grip.
Try adjusting your driving style (maybe or not) or just get used to the sliding around in the mud.
Do play around with the tyre pressures too.
It'll make a big difference (just dont forget to pump them back up for the ride home)
Dont be put of by the lack of grip though, most others (except extreme tyres) will feel like that too.
Depends on what you use the car for.
If its stays on the road till the 1 day of the weekend jaunt then stick with the BFG's.
If its just going to off road and never do anything else, get some Simex Extreme Trekkers (or the cheap copys from Paddocks)
