Breaks not this time
(1/1)
landandy:
OK Andy being Andy thought that the sound of a cat being strangled was the pads on front past best. As at last service they said soon need to be done. So change front pads i did. Tested now only had half cat. So right change back pads. Test again. Move 1ft squeek ?????????????? After taking drivers side front wheel off and paying more attention found the problem a small stone pea size stuck between disc and back plate. Well at least it is sorted and i got my breaks done. Which needed changing soon. Tip of the day LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP. See Picture below.
Budgie:
Had the same on my old 90, only I stripped the whole hub and disc off before I found the stone!!
Thought it was the wheel bearing that had gone! ](*,)

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
I have had a similar noise of a cat stuck in the wheel. I checked it and found it to be a cat stuck in the wheel! Only joking, all you moggy lovers.
It was in fact the back plate on the disc, where the mountings had rusted through.
A belt with the hammer solved the problem. Simplicity is best!
