300 tdi cambelt prices

I am not complaining, but take a look at the variations in prices, this is on a 1996 ES with air-con.  

Mansfield 4x4 Manningtree, Essex - £411
Lookers Land Rover, Colchester, Essex - £360
Local independant - £290
Local mobile mechanic - £150

I find it strange that Mansfield 4x4 who do not just do land rovers but all 4x4s would charge over what a main dealer would charge.  Also interesting that the local mobile mechanic has done quite a few 300s so knows whats involved, proberbly has no special tools but charges the least !

I got all these quotes within the last 6 weeks
