barmiebrumie:
Not a ban but I know that a ban on selling certain paint types to the general public, but thats the first I've heard about it, Ill give our supplier a call & see what he know's

Jimbo:
Yep, 2-pack/cellulose will cease to be available from the paint manufacturers from January 2007......but suppliers/distributors will have some stocks - the whole industry has to go over to water-based paint, to try and plug the hole in the atmosphere !

AKAIK, it's not going to be illegal to use 2-pack, you just won't be able to buy it anymore.........I'm buying a couple of extra gallons of the colour I've chosen for the 110 - just in case !!

V8MoneyPit:
The problem is that the paint manufacturers haven't perfected a clear coat yet. All water based colours will have to be clear coated rather than just metallics like before. So at present, 2 pack is the only way to do it. According to the body shop around the corner from us, it is unlikely that a suitable clear coat will be available before the regulations start. So there will probably a waiver on some products until a suitable alternative is developed.

And what happens to "home" users who obvioulsy dont have bake ovens and the likes for using water based paints?
