Just shows you they can nick anything, got his axle and hubs, but left the guts behind, sneaky

Xtremeteam:
atleast when i do it i no that i can strip & rebuild the front axle in about an hour when the clocks ticking during compsafaris,at least it didnt spit the bits out through the casing

banditman:
Well, didn't get to do it last week, but have spent today under it....

Smashed 5 teeth off Crownwheel and two off the pinion (so that's what that Keeerrrrrrrrrllllllaaanggggg noise was !!)

Looking at that Ebay piccy, undoing the ring of bolts on the spheres looks far quicker than the way I did it, with brakes off an all that......tut, hindsight eh!!

Hope you got yours sorted too!!

depending on how i break it,i normallt strip the side thats broken down (brakes, hub etc) & on the side thats not broken remove the bolts that hold the chrome ball on to the axle casing, although a bit of a pain when theres a group of people workin on it (1 either side & 1 underneath) & u get the sides wrong as the shaft cant be removed fron the cv joint when its built up because of the small collar on the shaft, much swearing & chapping with my big chapper does not remove it at all, just knackers the seal.
