Changing OIL Filter Maverick/Terrano 2.7TD
(1/1)
R@tman:
any tips ?
Looks a B*gger to get to ?
this will be the first time ive done it myself as well .
funny:
It looks worse than it is,
behind the nearside front wheel is a rubber sheet that is held in place with plastic push clips, remove the clips and allow the sheet to fold down and just in front of you is the oil filter.Use a chain wrench on the bottom of the filter to spin it off and jiggle it around to allow you to remove it from the vehicle.
Fitting is the reverse of this.
Oh remember to wear surgical type gloves as the oil is pretty manky
hope this helps
Regards

gag:
I always have the oil changed whenever I get a new motor. That way, at least I know when it was last done ! A couple of days after buying the Maverick I put it into a local garage garage to have the oil changed and was charged £50 plus for the privelege ! Its due another one shortly as I plan to change it every 3000 miles or so. After the last episode, I plan to change it myself. I admit that it doesnt look easy but I have access to a pit which should help.
Cheers.
