1.5" lift

As far as i see it you get a few more degrees of approach and departure, but how many people actually utilise this? You can get pretty darn good articulation by upgrading suspension parts without having to lift, i think its porny who has a good set up at standard height. A lift in my eyes causes more problems than its worth... Someone feel free to flame me.

Ive been thinking of buying a 2 inch lift for ages and finally ordered one this weekend, i know all the bad points but i want my truck to look the muts nuts and just went for it. Will be buying cranked radius arms and cranked trailling arms next month when i get payed again. :D
Magnum335:
So its aesthetics eh.
Oh i have thought of a real plus for a lift!!!
Allows the fitting of larger tyres and therefore can give you more ground clearance.
Xtremeteam:
a +2 lift opens up the scope to fit up to 35" tyres 8)

Nope no flames here mate, I agree. Unless your going for extreme use or the extreme look then in my opinion not much point. I went through this a few months ago with mine and got the same replies.
The more sage members on here gave this advice.
Decide what you want to use your vehicle for, then decide what to do with it within your budget. The standard motors are very capable as we all know.
My ten year old defender 90 was sagging and looking tired. So, In the end i upgraded my springs and shocks to Heavy duty ones and this gave the benefit of a 1.5 lift without too much fuss or having to change anything either.
My tuppence worth :)
