WARNING TECHNICAL ELECTRICAL QUESTION

Doesn't the 100A just mean it can gernerate 100A max current rather than the 65A one you are replacing ? The current used by the vehicle should be the same it just means you have another 35A to throw at some other new toys you may choose to fit.

good point, if the draw aint there then it stays the same , is that what you are saying ?- but I do have some power hungry ancillaries to run - like a winch that can draw 400plus.

Thus replace the main feed wire with one that runs straight back to the main terminal on the starter motor - or straight back to the battery - and is of a suitable size!!
